Justice Issues

My name is Julia and I'm a young lawyer who has just entered the hectic world of corporate law. Since I was a child, I've had a passion for justice and I've always dreamed of making a difference in the world. After years of studying and sacrificing, I finally obtained my law degree and started my career at a prestigious law firm.

From the beginning, I've had to face challenges and obstacles that seemed insurmountable. Despite my commitment and dedication to work, I realized that my gender and young age were often seen as disadvantages in the legal world, dominated by older men.

I worked hard to prove my worth, but often found myself having to fight against prejudices and discrimination. I saw less qualified male colleagues than me getting promotions and recognition that seemed due to me, while I was forced to fight for every small achievement.

My determination was put to the test when I was involved in a major case of corporate fraud. Despite being convinced of my defendant's guilt, my preparation and arguments were constantly questioned by the jury, mainly composed of older men.

Despite all efforts, the case was lost and my defendant was acquitted. This failure had a devastating impact on my self-confidence and my career. I felt betrayed by the legal system that should have protected justice and fairness.

Although my story doesn't have a happy ending, I've decided to share it publicly to raise awareness among other women about the challenges they face in the workplace. I hope that my experience can inspire other women to fight for their rights and to work together for a fairer future for all.
